Electrical Engineer vs. Electrician

So what is the difference between an Electrical Engineer and an Electrician?
Electricians and Electrical Engineers are actually different. They are given different jobs but sometimes they collab with each other.

Electricians deal with residential related electrical systems. They are responsible for installing the wiring in your house. Electricians have to follow specific building codes when installing electrical systems. They also have to find issues with electrical systems in homes and fix those issues. Other than following building codes they also follow blueprints to figure out where the wires go.

Electrical Engineers focus on designing electronic devices and equipment. They're also responsible for inspecting equipment. They have to evaluate products and make sure they work properly. Electrical Engineers also take care of complaints made by consumers. They design products using computer programs to develop their idea. Depending what field of Electrical Engineering you get into you may find yourself making an electrical diagram to be used by an electrician.
